28 February 2018 Dear Expert,

I would like to know that if i purchase material dated on 15/02/2018 at that time i was unregistered under GST Now i received GST Reg. No. from 28/02/2018. Then i claim GST credit on purchases dated on 15/02/2018 in GSTR-2

28 February 2018 Dear,
Section 18(1) of CGST act is reproduced here as under:
" A person who has applied for registration under the Act within thirty days from the date on which he becomes liable to registration and has been granted such registration shall, subject to such conditions and restrictions as may be prescribed, be entitled to take credit of input tax in respect of inputs held in stock and inputs contained in semi-finished or finished goods held in stock on the day immediately preceding the date from which he becomes liable to pay tax under the provisions of this Act."
Now the conditions to be satisfied are:
1.You should have applied for the registration within 30 days from the day on which you were liable to registration
2. You should file a declaration Form GSTR ITC 01 in the common portal
