31 January 2010 Hi everyone.
We entered journal vouchers in tally & took their print outs.But now when we go to Journal register in tally, it is showing different voucher numbers as are in printouts.

What could be the possible reason?

Please help,otherwise we will have to take 3000 printouts again.

1.There is chance of some entry deleted in between

2.Some Journal entry taken back dated

3.Some journal entry changed as some other entry i.e. payment entry vice versa

01 February 2010 if u have added any entries after the month is over then the voucher no's will change. For example if in the month of december u have entered serial no. 1 to 100 journal vouchers and took the prints. Later on in the month of january if u have again entered some entries in the december month which relates to december month then the voucher nos will change. So u identify that kind of entries which u have entered and then take the prints.
Even an entry may be deleted in between is also a reason

01 February 2010 better you opt manual numbering for journal vouchers. Accounts Info-voucher types-alter- method of voucher numbering-manual. if you do, you will not get difference in the numbering.
