hi !
need a bit of help here , i had filed my IT returns for 2 consecutive 2004 - 2005 and 2005 - 2006 , post which i have not filed my returns , purely because i had not received Form 16 from my employers . I have a received a form 16 now for the period 2007 - 2008 from my new employer now . Please guide how do i go about filing my returns now on . what will be the penalty , charges etc .
Your help will be highly appreciated .

Prachee there is no specific requirement that you need to file return for earlier years before you file your itr for the current year.
As of now you can just file itr for period Apr - Mar 09.
With Penalty also for the period Apr - Mar 08.
