15 July 2009 Hi Friends,

I have a question...

i filled It return till 2007-2008 at Kolkata. Now I am getting salary from delhiand get transferred to delhi. i am staying at Delhi. so will i have to file return at kolkata. The company where i work the registered office at kolkata. will i give the registered office details in my ITR , while giving Employer details. Please advise.

15 July 2009 You can file ITR on the basis of your residential address or the employer address. If your employer is having Regd office at kolkata, then you TDS certificate must have been issued from there. So better to file your ITR at kolkata, if you have any residential place there. And if you have shifted to delhi, then you can file your return in delhi also.
