Section 139(4) permits you to file up to 31/3/2011.

Mr. Navin Jain, penalty u/s 271F is Rs.5,000/- and not Rs.10,000/-

We can file one year return upto 2 years, that means Ay 2009-10 last date 31-03-2011..You should add interest if has tax liability other wise no interest....

Return of Income for the AY-2009-10 can be filed before 31.03.2011. Penalty is levied if the return is filed after 31.03.2011.
