20 August 2012 Now a days , income tax department does not ask for any supporting documents. You need to keep them ready with as and when asked for by the department in due course of time.

20 August 2012 I don't think any document is required, you just need Form 16 & 16 A to file the return and if you getting it filed by a CA then he will definitely ask for documents on the basis of which you are claiming deduction
