It e-filing password

10 January 2012 Hi,

One of my clients has forgotten both his Login password and the security question answer and he has filed the manual returns for the previous year. How to get the new password? Please advise on this.

11 January 2012 Call CPC Bangalore. They will help you out.

You will have to mail all the details such as
Name
Date of birth
PAN
Father's name

But First call CPC

enter PAN

click Ok
Then fill the required columns.

11 January 2012 Dear CA Deepak, the above link asks for either security question answer or e-filing acknowledgement.

The author has mentioned that he has forgotten the answer to the security question.

Further, no e-return has been filed.

So, this link is not useful.

In the present case all you need to do is send an e-mail to "efiling.administrator@incometaxindia.gov.in" requesting them to regenerate the password. Specify the PAN and Name, Father's Name, DOB, Address,etc in the e-mail. Your Password will be regenerated
