11 August 2009 Please guide.......
As the stamp duty rate differ from state to state is it possible to show that the Board Meeting was held at a different palace where stamp duty is less if yes then how ?

11 August 2009 Sorry. This is not possible. Even if shares are issued in demat mode, the requisite stamp duty has to be paid on issuance of shares. The payment of stamp duty can be deferred to the extent the shares are not issued. However, there is also a time line within which shares have to be issued after receipt of share application money.
