28 December 2009 There is provision in Income tax Act to issue form 16 within 30 days from the end of the financial year.Now, in case the employee has resigned and his full and final settlement has been done asks for his form 16 for the period of employment, is there any legal bar that the form 16 cannot be issued before the end of financial year?.Please revert with the supporting from the law or any circular, judicial prouncement etc.

28 December 2009 There is no restrictions for issue the form16 before end of the financial year for resigned employees

28 December 2009 Dear Friends,
The form 16 can be issued after the end of the financial year.Does that mean that the date of issuing it has to be after 31st March?If we want to issue it now, can we issue it now,mentioning date of today?
