We have issued a bonus shares to share holders of the company & one of share holder is also employee of the company. Is there any FBT liability for bonus shares issued to employees.

No FBT liability will come. Because along with all shareholders he is getting the same.
Only in the case of ESOP-Employees stock option FBT will be attracted.

FBT Liability is only in case of any expenditure incurred on Employee.
Here bonus shares are received in the capacity of shareholder and not as an employee.
Thus no FBT will be attracted
