This is visu. i am assessee for AY 2007-08.my employer paid tds on salary income and remaining tax payable amount(Rs 97) paid by e-payment when i was filing retrn through e filing on 31/07/2008.
on sep 15th 2009 i received notice under section 143(1),on which amount tax and interest on tax shown due. what can i do now? what is intention of issue of the notice? how do i reponse for that? Please suggest me proper to procedure to be followed.

27 December 2009 It is not clear what amount they demand ? Whether it is one and same as already paid by you; then you can write to the concerned Income Tax Offier that I have already paid enclosing the relevant copies of challans or TDS.

09 January 2010 there is no rpvision as such which can compell u for repayment of tax, you can provide them proof of payment, if it is same amount which is alredy paid by you.
if it is not that case please re-ask your question with proper ref.
