My client is providing the Data processing to govt. department for correction and digitization of ration card.
And the work merely using the computer as tool to help perform professional service .
will he exempted to pay service tax.?

09 March 2023 There is no service tax now, it has been replaced by GST.
Services provided to Government, other than Exempted Services as per Notification No. 12/2017-Central Tax (Rate) dt. 28.06.2017 are Taxable under GST.
