03 February 2017 Please help me. I am working in tour & travels. so we are make T.T. (outside of India) for hotel booking. Then service tax applicable on these t.t. amount. actually tourist is Indian. Please give me your valuable reply.

04 February 2017 If you are acting as an intermediary, then you shall be liable to service tax on commission received from hotels

however if you are acting as a principal, then such services shall not be liable to service tax as the place of provision of service lies outside india.

17 February 2017 Thank you very much Ashish ji for your valuable reply. Actually we are paid service tax on t.t. outside of india with 70℅ abatement. so we should not pay service tax on it. please give some references or case study.these is major issue for us.
