Is proprietor firm registration is mandatory????

24 September 2011 Is it compulsory for a CA having COP to get his Sole Proprietor Firm registered before taknig any audit assignment? And can a CA sign Tax and Statuory audit report in his personal name as i dont have any firm registered in my name?

24 September 2011 You should get your Firm Registered with ICAI, before getting before signing any audit.

Apply for the approval of the firr and after approval apply in form 18 with ICAI.
