Is it possible to do CA/CS by a Govt employee

07 February 2011 Hi,
Nw Im doing a govt job and duty hours 9.00am -5pm.
I want to do CA and CS.
Is it possible to do both as a govt employee as u know regularly going to office?
Is ICAI or ICSI exempted me from articles training on special request
pls answer2my query

07 February 2011 YOU CAN DO BOTH, BUT ONCE YOU CLEAR FIRST OR BOTH GROUPS OF IPCC YOU NEED TO JOIN ARTICLES AND ITS MUST..
FOR CS YOU CAN CLEAR FINAL AND JOIN FOR ARTICLES, BUT IN CS CASE YOU CAN SHOW SAME EXP WHERE U WORKING IF YOUR GOV. IS UNDER THE ICSI LIST...
SO IF YOU WANT TO CONTINUE THERE ITSELF THEN CLEAR CA INTER AND COMPLETE CS...

13 March 2011 well i found d same problem...n i know ICAI dont give exemption to any1.....so till IPCC u can do ...yes for CS u can complete that n yes u can also go for ICWAI..

13 March 2011 without article ship you are not able to do CA course, becouse ICAI not allowed article ship with job.
you can appear cs exms with out article ship. so you can go for CS course.
your job experiance will be count and your article ship will be exempt in cs.
