16 October 2010 "LIC HOUSING FINANCE LTD" is subsidiary company of LIC but can it can be said that it is a private company?

16 October 2010 Also LIC holds only 36.54% of LIC housing finance and so it is not a subsidiary of LIC.

but how it cannot be treated as subsidiary company of LIC although LIC holds only 36.5% stake in LICHFL.

For Private company the word "private" should be affixed before limited in the name of the company, except in case of d=section 25 company.

So, LIC Housing Finance Limited is a limited company and not a private limited company.
