Is GST applicable to services provided in India by an Indian firm to a foreign client?

Service provided in India so it will not fall under export of services. Hence service tax applicable.

whether we can charge GST separately in the invoice? we are making the invoice in USD.

Yes, raise tax invoice and charge GST separately.
