Is DIN KYC required, if I am not a Director now?

I am not a Director currently with any Company.
I was a Director of a Section 8 company in the past. I do nto plan to be a Director in near future.

1. do I still need to file KYC for my DIN?
2. If I do not file KYC for my DIN, What are the implications or liabilities?

28 September 2019 1.Optional since don;t want to a Director.

2. i) DIN will be deactivated.
ii) Can't become Director in a company.
iii) DIN can;t be mentioned in any document.
Iv) Have to pay fee to activate, if u so wish.
