18 October 2013 It has been clarified by ICAI that the Companies Act, 2013 will NOT be applicable for November 2013 examination.

Applicability for May 2014 eaxms will be announced soon by ICAI. So wait for announce ment by ICAI.

18 October 2013 However Companies bill published in official gazette but our icai BOARD OF STUDIES have to announce the applicability of the same for exams..

so wait for icai Announcement and concentrate on other subjects mean while

18 October 2013 After the above link, companies bill was passed and it became companies act,2013 so it is sure that it will be made applicable in June 2014 exams but yet officially not declared via notification by ICAI so wait for few days.

16 March 2014 ICAI has come out with the notification regarding the partial applicability of Companies Act 2013. 98 Notified section will be applicable for Nov 2014 exams.

The Central Government has notified 98 sections of the Companies Act, 2013 on 12th September, 2013. Accordingly, those 98 notified sections are applicable for November 2014 examinations corresponding to their bifurcation into the Intermediate (IPC) and Final Course(s), i.e. from these 98 sections, 53 sections have been included in the Paper – 2,Business Laws, Ethics and Communication, Intermediate (IPC)Course, and 45 have been included in the Paper- 4, Corporate and Allied Laws, Final Course.
