13 November 2009 i am associate with an engineering unit.....we mfg m/c and also provide services .........query is if i am selling part of machine which i hav purchased from some other vendor.....in this case is there any law ....that says additional value is required .....can"t i sell those part on my purchase rates

15 November 2009 i don't think that there is any Law as such.
it can that u cann't sell the fresh material in lesser value than ur purchase value, if that is not in damaged condition.

16 November 2009 Dear Ram,

There is no law as such that you have to add any value on the part of machine that you sell. This type of transactions are always business decisions and prudence. If a businessman thinks that to impress the customer, he will sell this part at the discount then also it is possible except that you have to take care for reversing the excise part involved
