20 June 2013 My friend had received intimation under section 143(1) for AY-10-11 on 15Th, June ,2013 which reflect tax demand of Rs.6340/-

My friend is salaried person , according to calculation given in Intimation he forgot to claim Housing loan deduction in return of income tax Under head of Income from other sources which is mention in Form 16. The said return is filled online .

request your clarification / suggestion on :
1. Whether intimation is valid ?
2.Whether he have to filled revised return as he fails to claim Interest on HL ?
3. If reply has to filled under 154 then whether online or manually or any of the same ?

25 June 2013 Mistake is not apparent from face of record i.e. return filed. Rectification application will not help.
Can submit revision before commissioner.
