28 June 2010 Very wider question but its simple answer is that you must know the work of that particular field in detail for whom you will go for audit. Specific qualification may be fixed by the organisation internally.

28 June 2010 Agreed With Mr. Taranjit. For Internal Auditot, you must possess wide knowledge about the work and scope. Alomg with teh process, policies you must have knowledge to judge that the system are effective, existed, evaluated and are followed. For this, you should be aware of the possibilities and methods of violations too in order to detect the existence of that.
