from which period does 244A interest on TDS deducted start. take eg for A.Y. 2004-05

Interest shall be paid @ 0.5% PM from 1st april of the A.Y. to the date on which the refund is granted.

Dear Rahul
If you have filed your IT Return within due date as mentioned u/s 139(1) then Interest shall be granted w.e.f April 1 otherwise from Aug 1 or Nov 1 as the case may be.
