15 March 2012 I have 1 client whose return of F.Y>-2010-11 is filling in today's date.

My query is :

Whether interest u/s234A is applicable??

Whether it is applicable only after completing this A.Y.11-12?

15 March 2012 If the return is not filed within due date interest u/s 234A would be charged.In your case interest would be charged from due date of filing return till the date of furnishing return @ 1% p.m. or part of month.
