Interest on waiver

06 August 2014 a assessee has filed the return manually before the due date. as per the request of income tax assessee has filed that return through e-filing after the due.
now the assessee got the notice from income tax, pay interest u/s 234a &234b for sum amount.

Is there any possibility to get waiver for the interest, under any section?
pls give me some sugesstion
