25 February 2011 Can I claim Interest on Housing Loan which is neither self occupied nor rented ? In fact it is deemed to be let out means mine 1st House is rented, 2nd ( on which loan has been taken ) one is deemed to be let out. I my self stays in 3rd rented property. I want to claim on 2nd. Can I clain in full showing annual rateable
value ( notional ) for 2nd ?

25 February 2011 Yes, you can claim interest on deemed let out property and in my view you have no limit of 1.50 lacs U/s 24 , which is applicable for SOP.
