Input tax credit

This query is : Resolved

04 August 2011 One of my client is a registered dealer, engaged in Computer sales and services. As part of sales promotion, he is giving some products like pendrive, headphone, computer table etc. as gifts by billing a negligible amount (like Rs. 0.90) for the same along with the main product. Whether he is eligible for the input tax credt for that items?
Kindly give answers asap.

04 August 2011 yes he is eligible for availing the input tax credit on the said items if he has purchased the same from a registered dealer.
