HELLO SIRS
I HAVE A QUERY REGARDING INPUT TAX CREDIT UNDER GST.
SOME OF OUR VENDORS HAVE MISSED TO TAKE THE INVOICES IN FINANCIAL YEAR 2017-2018 BUT NOW THEY ARE TAKING THOSE INVOICES IN THE RETURN OF SEPTEMBER 2018 , WHILE THESE PERTAIN TO F.Y 2017-2018.
I WANT TO KNOW THAT
1. IN WHICH FINANCIAL YEAR I CAN TAKE THE BENEFIT OF ITC.

As per sub-section (4) of section 16 of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 (the CGST Act), timeline for availing input tax credit on any inward supplies for the previous financial year ending March, 312017 is :-
due date for furnishing the return for the month of September ie 20th Oct 2018 , or furnishing of annual return, whichever is earlier.
