1. Service tax paid on all those input services which are not used by the manufacturer directly or indirectly or in relation to the manufacture of final products cannot be claimed for credit.
2. Service tax liability on carriage outwards(GTA) has to been paid. It cannot be settled against input credit.

1. cannot claim credit of travel bills. 2. Insurance of only plant and machinery used in manufacture. 3. Vehicle only those used in manufacture, may be JCB, crusher, etc. other vehicles like car or trucks for outward carriage cannot be claimed for credit.

U might have already booked as expenditure in 2008-09 in your account. if that is the case then u cannot claim credit in the current year.

The expenses is clamied in FY 08-09, but the service tax on that expenses is shown under service tax deposit & that amount is not utilised against excise liability till date.
In this case can we utilsed the input service credit now.
