input credit

(Querist)
05 August 2010 my client is a contractor and he is constructing roads and he is charging works contract tax on the bill and also he is giving subcontract and the subcontractors also charging works contract tax on bill.
My query is:-
1.can he claim the input credit on the W.C.Tax charged by subcontractors.and set off it from the out put of W.C.tax.
