Incorporation date of a company

A company was sold and its share holding too changed. The sold company is running in new name but doing the same business. Here my doubt is what is the incorporation date of new company? The actual date of incorporation from which the old company started or the date in which the new company is registered with the ROC

The actual date of incorporation would be the date on which old company incorporated.
