I have got a query regarding applicability of Interest U/S 234A in case of refund.
Whether it is applicable if the return is filed after due date.

reply - interest cannot be charged u/s 234A as long as there is no demand -in the case of a refund you will not get interestu/s 244A for the delay caused in filing return

Since there is no tax due, no interest will be charged even if the return is filed after due date
