I want to file my non-taxable income tax return for the AY 2009-10. Still can I do so? And whether it will attract any penalty?

Generally you can't file ,because it is barred by time.

Its a time barred return and attract a penalty of rs. 5000. So advisable to not to file.

Return for AY 2009-10 cannot be filed now as it is time barred.
