Income Tax Return File in wrong section u/s 139

07 October 2019 Hi Expert,

I had filed my income tax return(Interest income on FD) ITR-1 as on 07.10.19, but i have not remember to check or Chose Return filed u/s 139(4) i.e. belated return. and my ITR filed by default u/s 139(1) i.e. on/before return.

Now i am trying to file the same return with u/s 139(4), but it is not taking.

Please suggest is there any problems came or is there any other options to correct it

07 October 2019 I know it was filed u/s 139(1) i.e. on before due date.
My query is,
Because i have filed my return after due date i.e after 31 Aug 2019 ., so in ITR i have to select filed u/s 139(4) Instead of 139(1)
But i had not checked that filed section and wrongly filed my return u/s 139(1), so it there any problem arise? or there is any option to correct the same.

I think you are not understand my issue.....

I said i know it was filed u/s 139(1) i.e. on before due date.
but my query is, Because i had filed my return after due date i.e after 31 Aug 2019 ., so in ITR i have to select Return file u/s 139(4) Instead of 139(1).
