You have to compulsory fill Aadhaar Number or Aadhaar Number application number for filing itr form. So you can apply Aadhar you can file by acknowledgement details.

PAN LINKING TO ADHAAR IS STAYED TILL FURTHER COURT ORDER THEN WHY IS IT NECESSARY

If it is linked you can e verify your tax return also it is easy to reset login id through Aadhar OTP, For filing tax return you have to mention Aadhaar Number without that you will not be able to file your tax return.
