03 March 2008 Sir I have my PAN issued from Kolkata. Till date I have not yet filed my IT Return.Now I wants to file MY IT Return in Mumbai as I m working here now. Can I file my return in Mumbai. if , yes then What is the procedure.

03 March 2008 I under stand your problem, First of all
U have to file PAN correction form & update your records with IT department & then u can file your IT return at Mumbai with out any problem

03 March 2008 SINCE YOU WANT TO FILE THE RETURN IN MUMBAI THEREFORE YOUHAVE TO FIRSTLY FILE PAN CORRECTION FORM SO AS TO GET NEW PAN NO FOR MUMBAI AND WITH THAT YOU CAN FILE YOUR RETURN

04 March 2008 Hi,
you have to file a PAN correction form with Mumbai address and after that you can file return at Mumbai.

You have a option of filing your return at Kolkata even if your Employment at Mumbai.
