Whether I need to file return and pay tax @ 15% on stcg if I have only
Interest income 50000
STCG on shares 80000
Is it mandatory to show STCG in return even if it is less than exemption limit?

No, you dont need to. Since total income including STCG is less than exemption limit , you dont need to pay any tax even on STCG separately.
