04 June 2013 Am a salaried person and the company has deducted TDS as per salary and have issued form 16 for the same, for the year 2011-2012, but forget to file the return by jul'31 2012. Is it possible to file the return now. If so any penalty will be imposed or self just need to fill in the ITR-1 SAHAJ for for AY 2012-2013.

ii) Failure to furnish the return before the end of the assessment year (31 - 03 - 2013) attracts penalty u/s 271F amounting to Rs. 5,000.
