11 July 2012 a proprietor of firm has filed return for 2 yrs & then for 8 yrs he has not filed return & after a gap of 8 yrs whether he can file return. whether he has to file return for that 8 yrs first & then current asst yrs return or he can file return from this asst yr as new case.

11 July 2012 Dear Friend, you can not file returns for eight assesement year otherwise required by the Income Tax Department. Well you can file return of two previous years before March, 2013 i.e. for 2011 and 2012.Thanks
