31 May 2019 Sir,
In challan wrong pan number was entered by our assessee, so that we received a notice from Income tax office. For that reason can any one give me the format of reply letter to Income tax office.

Dear Sir,

enclosed please find the challan paid by me on xx/xx/xxxx. Please note that the PAN in the said challan was inadvertently / erroneously put by me.
I, therefore, request your good office to edit the same and issue a fresh demand accordingly.
