Income tax refund lower than expected

For my a.y 2010-11 i had filled returns and was expecting a refund of 15942 whereas the refund cheque i recieved was only for 5670.
how do i figure where this figure went wrong? and if so, what steps should be initiated hereon to get that corrected. your help and urgency would be most appreciated

You can compare the return filed by you and the refund order calculation so received. You will yourself come to know about the differences. Invesigate the differences, and if there is a mistake make an application with your A.O.
