Query relating of refund of income tax amount . I filed the return by wrongly entered the account number .Refund status shows refund got settled . I don't that account holder details. can any one help me how to retreive that refund amount

Refund Re- Issue request is only for the Non - Receipt of refund cases. Here Refund got setteled to another account .

21 November 2016 Ohh, I missed that point, sorry for that. In that case U must have to ask ur Bank to get the refund credited to the correct account. Income Tax department can't help u in that case, coz they had already processed the refund as per the account number mentioned in the ITR. Better to get the bank understand regarding the matter and trace the account holder with the help of the Bank. The reply to the query arising to ur mind at the very moment(that how can I know the branch of the account holder?) is, the account holder belongs to the same branch in which ur account is maintained. The logic is the IFSC code entered at the time of filing of the return. If the IFCS code is correct then u must ask ur bank to help u regarding the matter.
