Income tax payment due date

11 June 2015 Dear Sir,

May 2015 withholding tax paid on june 8th.

We have made payment to the income tax 8th June via E payment due to technical problems at bank.

Do we have to pay the late payment interest to department or is there any way to get it waived off if we have to pay the interest.

11 June 2015 have u given challan to bank earlier i mean beofre 8th june ?

If u can not pay online then u have to submit challan to bank before 7th & then no interest.

Otherwise u have to pay interest. But not a big deal. u can fight for it by showing ur problem.

We have sent the challan to the bank on 6th of June.. But Bank says their cut off time is over hence they have made the payment on 8th.

16 June 2015 Dear Sir,

Since June 7th is on Sunday, hence the bank processed payment is on 8th. Do we still need to Pay the interest?
