Whether the income tax payable by employee on his salary being paid by the employer can be treated as perquisite in the hands of employee?

Income tax paid by the employer on behalf of the employee would be considered as a non-monetary perquisite. Accordingly, tax paid by the employer would be added as perquisite in the income of the employee.
