Income tax notice under section 221(1)

I got income tax demand notice of rs 10475 under section 221(1)before that . Never got any intimation or notice for fy 2008_2009.I was working in a private bank in that year and tds was deducted of rs 7809 as mention on form16 for that year. on form 26 tds is deducted and submitted Of rs 10482 for the same year and is displayed on income tax website . Do I Have to pay demand or I can show form 26 and form 16 along with itr as I never got any notice for financial 2008_2009 before. Should I meet ito my self or should I take help of professional.
