17 September 2014 my client have received a note from income tax authorities. the problem was that the assessee has filed he own return and had committed a mistake of considering AY as FY.
in the relevant year the assessee has purchased a house property and has income from bank saving, the source of which is husband income which can be clearly traced from the bank statement. can ignorance of law can be considered for the above case, as returned file doesnot show revelant year income
