30 September 2011 how to fetch more marks in this subject and pls tell me important section of capital gain

30 September 2011 There is no shorcut to gain good marks but to get good marks in Income tax I advice you to thoroughly understand each and every section and emphasis on main chapters like B & P, Capital gain,deductions, assessment of individuals.
1. Try to solve questions in a step by step manner.
2. Write as many as provisions in support of practical questions.
3. In writing theory question, i advise you to write down the provisions in your own style and point to point not in paragraphs but in simple, easy and even tabular/ chart form also.
4.write answer as per the demand of the question and to the point.
5. In capital gain chapter- sec-47, 50b,c and sec-54 all sub sections.
