Income tax from family pension

22 January 2016 we didn't receive family pension for 2 years, and we got all the arrears lump sum of 4 lakh rupees. now the the total income goes above 5 lakh rupees, will I get any tax exemption on family pension? I appreciate your response.

22 January 2016 There is tax relief in case of arrears of pension. So there will be significant tax savings.
