Dear Sir/Madam,

I would like to know that in HUF the date of Incorporation/Formation is not available. In pan card copy shown that is Ancestral. When I generate the E-return is shown as error/validation failed. Kindly suggest me how to generate the E-return of HUF where the date of creation is not available.

03 July 2009 Formation date will be avilable with the assesee. Generally marriage date if it newly formed huf or forefather's date of birth ie first generation male member. Discuss with your client and fill the appropriate date.

03 July 2009 First apply for amendment in PAN card for incorporating date of formation of HUF. Unless the date of formation is recorded in the data base of Income tax department validation will fail. In the new procedure also after uplodaing the return, for viewing/downloading ITR V assessee has to give password viz., PAN in small case followed by date of formation.
In a nut shell date of formation is very very important as far as e-filing is concerned. With these reservation I respectfully disagree with the view expressed above by Mr.Srinivasalu.
