31 August 2014 my relative is depositing a fund in esi deposit schemeand they are paying 12% int.he wants to deposit more and he is retired govt staff from esi. He is 78 yrs.whether he has to file return.whether he had to give 15g to esi ?

01 September 2014 Being senior citizen he can submit 15H provided his taxable income is less than the basic exemption limit. He has to file return if he has taxable income.
